Recruitment Consultant - SurreyRegister for Job Alert
Are you a recent graduate who is struggling in the job market right now? You are wondering where on earth do I start and what is even out there at the moment?
Recruitment is not a job for everyone, it takes hard-work, dedication and resilience in this game but gosh the results are worth it.
What is recruitment?
Well first of all it's a fast paced sales role essentially and by sales I don't mean your "Wolf of Wall Street" type sales. It is a lot more consultative than that, A LOT more. You will be building relationships with candidates (people looking for jobs) and clients (the ones looking to hire) and working in partnership to place the best people with the best business.
Easy right? Wrong.
You will be cold-calling (picking up the phone to strangers and getting them to want to speak to you)
Going through applications and selecting the best
Arranging interviews for candidates
Acting as the middle person between candidate and client (taking feedback etc)
And "closing" the deal... basically negotiating contracts e.g salary
We are working with a wicked company in Epsom who operate in the Tech Sales space. They are wanting to train up two graduates in their markets (no prior recruitment or sector knowledge needed) and help them kick-start their career to eventually become a Team Lead with them in 3 years.
They do cheeky trips to Marbs (pre covid of course) and lots of social nights out - but it's not all fun and games, you got to have grit in this game so this role is not for the light hearted or someone who fancies just 'having a laugh' this is hardwork but the incentives are pretty awesome if you are up for it.
What do I need to have on my CV to apply for this you say? Well I will tell you...
- Degree, 2:1 or above
- Big bubbly personality - this is important for that relationship building
- Worked through-out Uni
- Desire to work hard and make £££ - you get commission on top of your basic salary - I know wicked right
Apply if you are interested or pop me a message if you fancy a chat through to job role first.
Look forward to speaking with you,
Lauren @ SW6!
